DeSoto County Annual 5K

MLK 5K

A time to celebrate unity amongst all. Proceeds from the events will be used to raise awareness and funds for the Precious Pearls Foundations to be able to provide support for the various programs.

Stork’s Nest

A community based prenatal health promotion program for limited-income pregnant women. Working together with March of Dimes and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated to give babies a healthy start in life.

Calandra Jones-Howard, Ed.S., is not only a dedicated educator but also the Board Chair of the Precious Pearls Foundation. Additionally, she holds the esteemed positions of President and CEO at the Herk Foundation, established in honor of her father, Fred E. Jones

Stacy L. Kelly

president and CEO

Stacy L. Kelly is a dedicated leader, currently serving as the CEO and President of the Foundation. With a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector, she has consistently demonstrated her passion for making a meaningful impact on communities.

Dr. Jacqueline Mason

Chapter Liaison

Dr. Jacqueline Mason is a Charter Member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Psi Beta Zeta Chapter . She has a Doctoral of Behavioral Health and is the Corporate Administrator for Functional Independence Home Care of Cordova, TN.

Hilda K. Harper

PBZ Chapter President

Hilda K. Harper, is the 5th President of Psi Beta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. She is the voice of the chapter, contributing significantly to the Foundation and the embodiment of Zeta’s principles.

Elois Nicholson

Chapter Liaison

Elois Nicholson-Booker is a retired teacher and high school administrator for twenty-nine years. She currently works part time for the Mississippi Department of Education as a literacy coach in the Office of elementary Education and Reading.

Dr. Adrienne Barnes

Dr. Adrienne Barnes serves as the Chair of the MLK 5K and is the Founder and CEO of ThinkRtI Consulting. With a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration, Dr. Barnes brings a wealth of expertise and experience to her roles.

Jennifer Ealy

event COORDINATOR (EOE)

Jennifer Ealy holds the distinction of being the longest-serving chairperson of the Evening of Elegance (EoE) event, having dedicated over 8 years to the role, where her unique creative style has consistently played a pivotal role in coordinating and raising funds for one of the foundation’s partnership events.

Tarisa White

Tarisa White serves as the coordinator of the Stork’s Nest program, leading our efforts to empower women on their journey to healthy pregnancies, fostering prenatal care, and education.

Dr. Neffie Gatewood Alimayu

STAFF

Dr. Neffie Gatewood Alimayu is responsible for managing the organization’s financial resources, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring fiscal sustainability.

Patrice Huff Lee
